During our chair study the children were challenged to design and construct a chair for Goldilocks(her body consisted of a bottle filled with sand for weight) that would not break when she sat on it. A variety of items (sticks, tape, lids, natural objects, bolts, styrofoam...) were added to the Discovery Area. Children were also encouraged to use items located in the other areas of the classroom.
