Class Management

In it's most effective form, it can oftentimes be the "silent teacher" of the classroom.  Classroom management is way of organizing materials, furniture, displays, resources, and children as helpers so that routines, teaching, and learning can proceed in an effective and efficient manner.  Class management in its most effective level of implementation can make a classroom appear to virtually run itself with teacher in a role of facilitator vs. manager.  Children know the rules, routines, and how materials are stored.

They are quick to remind other children and even the teachers how things operate so that the class as a community of learners functions smoothly and efficiently,

One of the greatest resources teachers have is each other. Collaboration and sharing has proven to contribute to our success, development and growth.  Such growth can be stunted by isolation and holding onto inhibitors.  Growth depends on having the professional courage to believe and invest in yourself enough to breakthrough a comfort zone while learning newer and better ways of benefiting children as they learn and grow.  Until this happens, the students we care for and teach can only grow as far as we have grown ourselves.  We owe it to ourselves and our students to never stop growing.
