During our Chair Study one of the questions of the day was " Can you make a chair out of paper and be able to sit on it? Once the children had time to think about the question and answer it, we began our journey of making it. After trial and error, we finally constructed it using newspapers, tape and brown paper. Below are a few images of the process.
Piling newspapers on top each other in order to make the seat of the chair.
Realized we needed two piles of newspaper as the children wanted to make a sofa seat for two.
Using a large piece of brown paper and bunched up paper scraps, we began our journey of making the back part of our sofa.
Stapled the large piece of brown paper to create a pocket in order to store the crumpled pieces of paper.
